Expansion Joint
Concept
Expansion joint is designed to relive compressive stresses which develop when concrete structure expanded in horizontal, vertical or inclined direction. Filler board is made from compressed dry wood fibers impregnated with bitumen prior to being compressed to ensure that to prevent cracking due to change in the weather and allows joint to freely expand in summer and contract in winter without damaging the concrete slabs. It also prevents the deposition of foreign materials that help free movement of concrete during expansion & contraction and thus prevent cracking.
ixxona expansion joint is remodeled fiber board. Impregnated with bituminous materials to render it durable and roof proof it is easily compressible and recovers nearly to its original thickness after compression is released.
ixxona pad is available in thickness of 12 mm, 18 mm, and 25 mm & in dimension of 1.22 mt x 1.22 mt (4ft x 4 ft)
